Mark 10:13. And they were bringing unto him little children, that he should touch them: and the disciples rebuked them. 14. But when Jesus saw it, he was moved with indignation, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me; forbid them not: for to such belongeth the kingdom of God. 15. Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall in no wise enter therein. 16. And he took them in his arms, and blessed them, laying his hands upon them.
The above biblical story records of Jesus rebuking his diciples for rejecting children brought by their parents to receive his blessings and the children went through a long and tiring journeying by foot and under rain and sun in order to meet with Jesus.
Jesus is a loving savior and protector of all children. For the children are not only the future of a family, tribe and nation, but the future caretakers of the Kingdom of God on earth after the present generation has passed on. Jesus affirms that a child with a tender heart would accept the authority of the Kingdom of God and his Father is much wiser than a adult on his own free will.
Jesus advises all of us to not only love and care for our children, but to also bless them and nurture them like what Jesus did. In prayer we sincerely dedicate our Child to you and accept your blessings with great gladness and humility.Write into their heart your words of wisdom so that they will not depart from them. Guide them in all your ways. And glorify Your name in all of your ways.
He that believeth on Me, as the scripture hath said, from within him shall flow rivers of living water. John 7:38. From the scriptures above, believing only in your source of abundant life, will let flow in your life rivers of living water. The living water that is sweet and never runs dry.
According to Jeremiah 2 and 7, the garden and fountain of living water refers to God. It is from God’s fountain that flows His rivers of blessings. The magnitude of God’s blessings is beyond what most people can imagine. We pray in the promise of God that rivers of living water may flow from us and let it be a blessings to all God’s children.
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith Johovah, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, so to give you hope in your latter end. Jeremiah 29:11
We pray that Your thoughts and blessings of hope and peace will always be with us. By the Word of God, we thank You and praise You for your loving thoughts on all Your children. Amen.
By God’s Word we pray that God’s greatest gift of sending a messiah and savour through Jesus Christ has lifted our sins and gave us eternal salvation.
We thanks You and Praise You for your greatest gift to all mankind. Amen.
We follow your teachings oh Lord to become your good diciple and also to make diciples in all nations. By the Word of God, that the Holy Spirit will anoint us work good character, peace and obedience of being diciples of Christ Jesus. We pray in your Holy name. Amen.
The children of God are truly blessed by our high priest and saviour is filled with love and compassion. In spite of all our weakness, illness, disabilities and unworthiness. For our Lord Jesus is perfect in all ways, unblemished by sins and pleasing to God.
By the Word of God, we thank you Lord for being our highest priest from God and saviour of all mankind. Amen.
In God’s word and all intentions of God that He wants all His children to be fruitful, live life purposely and abundantly. So that we may shine bright like a beacon on a hill, so that the glory of God shining through cannot be conceal by any darkness.
There is nothing more fulfilling for our Father in heaven to see all His children and descendants glorifying His name age after age. For what He created in the beginning was good in his image. In name of Jesus, help us to become more like you Lord, so that we too can glory our Father’s name on earth. Amen.
To love God is not about telling others about your love. As words without actions are emptiness, where man can say what they not mean in their heart.
For God treasures what is in your heart and more on your deeds. And is never by the word of man that true relationships are kept. As the saying goes actions are louder than words or put your money where your mouth is.
By the Word of God, we pray to keep Your commandments cheerfully and gladly as our symbol and pride of loving our mighty God. Amen.
By the Word of God, the world and all His creation was formed. And the Word was with God and was God’s image in the beginning. The living and active Word of God will never fail us nor fail to understand our true hearts desires.
We pray that the Word of God will help us discern things of this world that had made our mind and vision clouded. Let the Word of God pierce through our flesh and bones and let the Holy Spirit enter into our soul. For the Word of God is the only one that can satisfy our soul’s desires. Amen.
God is always pleased by His children who does good deeds for His Glory. And good deeds are produced by the sowing of good seeds in his field and not other people’s field. For our Father in heaven wants to bless us and provide for us and our families. The laboring in our fields is likened to sowing good seeds on earth. For what we enjoy now today is most probably the fruits from the sowing by our parents, grandparents and ancestors.
Jesus’s ministry has always focused on the kingdom of heaven on earth. He has helped, saved and touched the lives of many during His time and after Him. By the Word of God, we pray to help us sow good seeds into whatever God has entrusted us to. Amen.
Christ followers who walk the path of Jesus will have different types and levels of success according to God’s will. Whatever good works that you shall reap are by no means small, in the eyes your family, relatives, partners, associates, colleges and communities around you.
Let your good deeds shine like a beacon on a hill in the glory of God. We pray that it is not for our glory or ego, but all glory, thanks and praise goes to You. Amen.
Man has sinned since the beginning of time and they tried to hide their sin’s from God. Moses after bringing the children of Israel out of the promised land, was faced with 3000 sinners worshiping a golden calf. As witnessed in the excuses mentioned by Aaron. People tend create a lot of excuses for themselves to justify their actions or to sanctify an immoral behavior. However, our God is a just God and is clear on who is on his side. Our God is also merciful God, who forgives upon the repentance of sin.
By the word of God, we will always be obedient to God in keeping to his commandments and refrain from the temptation of sins. Amen.
By the Word of God we pray to give us strength and faith to fight for the good, even laying down our lives, as we are called to do. So as to be a good confession for Christ Jesus to the multitudes of your generation. As Jesus Himself did a good confession of the light and truth of God before the Roman governor Pontius Pilate and San Hadrian Court that has caused transformations to all the nations of our human civilization. What causes such good confession is Jesus stared before death and shared the awesomeness, the love and grace of His Father God. As told in 1 Timothy 13. I charge thee in the sight of God, who giveth life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed the good confession.
We have been redeemed by His death on the cross, we are chosen, and now we stand and sons and daughters of the King, we are His heir. We are victorious in life, overcomers of darkness. We also bear the responsibility and privilege that He has given us to reach others about His gift of salvation from sins. Bearing His crown is a renewed identity that we gain as we become part of His royalty.
Let your servants and children praise you my Lord my God. Bless us the king of kings, lord of lords.
Honor begins with God as no one can honor God alone without honoring people around them. Maintaining a attitude of honor will affect your marriage, family, relationships, well being, happiness, business, job, career, finances, church, neighbor, community, nation and world.
In real life, we might find it very difficult up honor people that we don’t like or despise us. But God requires us to not only honor Him, but honor our leaders, one another, the poor, helpless and destitute people. Nonetheless, honor is not something that is in built in us, in fact it needs to be taught about, learned from elders or role models and pass on to the younger generations.
In the above scripture, Jesus has instructed His diciples about the Holy Spirit. Although Jesus has return to His Father, He will send us His Holy Spirit and fill us with the power from heaven till He comes again before judgement day.
Jesus has promised His diciples before returning to His Father, that His Father would send the Holy Spirit to dwell in us and be our comforter and advisor. The Holy Spirit will be your guide and teacher on behalf of Jesus and His Father and will help refresh and recall the Word sent by God and all the teachings of Christ Jesus, until the Messiah returns again before judgement day.
The Seventy chosen and appointed by Jesus Christ is the origin of clergy of Church of Christ. In pairs of 2, they were charged by the Lord to become missionaries, evangelist and teachers to carry out His teachings into every towns and villages.
Venturing into missions according to the above scripture is all about curing the deaf and mute, healing the sick, opening the eyes of the blind, cleansing evil spirits and raising the dead today and tomorrow. The adventurous life that comes with going on your way for a good course and for God, is a blessings at the same time a great step of faith that involves risk, fear and persecution. Invest in your young children by sending them to missions. By going to missions, their life will be transformed and they will never be the same again. When we give for missions we are not only blessing others but also investing onto ourselves.
What if you ventured out but never achieved your goals, even if you did not achieve what you set out, but by the faith you step out, you will gain God. In the end it’s not the destination but the journey. Some of us have the calling to go out, some have the calling to give, some have the calling to pray.
Our God is everlasting and He is the alpha and the omega, from the beginning of creation until the final ending. So is His son Christ Jesus, whom has returned to His Father in heaven, but His love for us remains and He promises a return to save us in the future.
There will be storms throughout our lives and sometimes we fear exceedingly for our lives and future. Why do you still have no faith? How well do you know Jesus to face the storms in your lives?
The prelude story in Mark 4:35. And on that day, when even was come, he saith unto them, Let us go over unto the other side. 36. And leaving the multitude, they take him with them, even as he was, in the boat. And other boats were with him. 37. And there ariseth a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the boat, insomuch that the boat was now filling. 38. And he himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion: and they awake him, and say unto him, Teacher, carest thou not that we perish?
In the Word of God we pray that to follow God with complete faith and trust in God. And with the help from God, we shall came to the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gerasenes.
There is no more condemnation in our lives as Christ Jesus has thoroughly wash us clean of all sins. For Jesus has paid the full price for us all at the Cross of Calvary. Thus we are worthy as Children, sons and daughters of God.
God is standing at the threshold of heaven and seeing who will go into missions and reach the unreached people groups. You don’t have to travel thousand of miles and go to high risk countries to evangelize and intercede for others. Why not look at our left and right and the people closest to you i.e. family, friends and acquaintances to spread the good news of salvation in the Word of God. We are doing these not because we want to just fill up seats, not for our own satisfaction or glory, but simply to obey God and bring people back to the Father.
Some of us might be too busy with our lives and business and some might not have the courage or motivation to share the gospel and salvation of God. Can you recall for the past 1 year whom have you brought to Christ and to church? who’s live have you impacted and transformed? which door post of which family have you shaken for God? Do you remember which line of the Word of God has changed that person in front of you?
As everyone of us is different with variable level of faith and abilities. We need to seek God for His wisdom and for guidance on methods to perform in evangelizing. Can you say to the Lord that I have seen and tasted of your great love and here I am at your service.
To be Christ like, we need to always guard our minds and especially our tongues from the things we speak of. Because what our actions do only hits the flesh of the receiver, whereas what has been spoken cut deep into the soul of the receiver. Worse of what hurtful attacks hurled out, will always be remembered by those we might accidentally hurt, though we might already asked them for forgiveness.
It is better to be mute then to look like a fool. Never underestimate the power of the word. Let us pray that our vessel be filled with the Word of God and let our tongue speak of flowing water of life.
Are you a soft clay or hardened clay? Does it really matter to you, because it is matter of the length of curring time? But it matters to God, because if we have used up almost all of our lives in other worldly things, and decide to give our remain time to God at the 11th hour, what of usefulness to God then? To be of use to God, we have to be as soft as the clay in the potter’s hands. And only soft clay can withstand that sort of crushing and starting over. We have to be soft enough to withstand every tough stuff and pain God will put us through. If we are a harden clay thay has gone wrong but are willing to be moulded again then God will keep doing it. But the results are always astounding in the end for our God is a merciful God.
We are the clay in God’s hands and God the potter will shape us into being like Christ using situations and people. If we have something not right in us I.e. hate, anger, murder, brutality, torture, lust, adultery, dishonesty, deception, perversion, cheating, inhumanity, idol / demon worship, evil transactions, devil bondage, lover of self and money, wicked pride, boastful, haughty, railers, etc. God will definetely crush that in us and start over. However, if we resist and refuse to change, there definetely will be a price to pay. Perhaps in our blessings or our destiny getting further away from us.
We pray that all of us continue to be moudable and to take every opportunity to learn to be Christ like even through each other. To sharpen each other since everyone have different weaknesses and strength. Learn from each other. We may not perfect our weakness quickly but that is what clay is meant to be. To be moulded to perfection and to be teachable and mouldable in every aspects of our lives, be it in church or in our workplaces or schools. Always allow God to continue to shape our minds and our hearts, for we know that His final works are always marvelous.
